About Us

Empowering enthusiasts to build, repair, and customize electric vehicles with confidence.

At Westside EV, we’re passionate about electric vehicles of all kinds: custom EV builds, EV conversions, farming and construction equipment, boats, e-bikes, e-scooters, and personal electric vehicles of every shape and size.

We believe EVs aren’t just practical, they’re exciting, fun to drive, and full of potential. Beyond that, they offer meaningful benefits to society, from cleaner transportation to new opportunities for innovation.

Our mission is simple: make building and working on electric vehicles accessible and achievable for the average enthusiast.

Through thoughtfully designed kits, products, services, and top-tier support, we help DIY builders and professional shops create incredible EVs more efficiently and with greater confidence. By empowering enthusiasts to build fun, efficient, and better-performing vehicles, we help ensure that custom car culture doesn’t disappear in the transition to electric vehicles but evolves and thrives!

How it started

Westside EV began organically among a group of friends and car enthusiasts who loved experimenting with electric mobility.

What started as helping each other with e-bikes and custom personal electric vehicles (PEVs) quickly grew into something bigger. When the pandemic sparked a surge in interest in electric transportation, we found ourselves assisting family, friends, and eventually people across the community who were just discovering this exciting technology.

We helped convert vehicles, upgrade electric bikes and scooters, troubleshoot problems, and guide newcomers through their first EV projects. The more we helped, the more the community grew, and with it, the earliest incarnation of Westside EV.

Where We Are Today

Today, Westside EV supports a wide spectrum of electric vehicles. From e-bikes, e-scooters, and PEVs to cars, trucks, farming equipment, and more.

If it has wheels and an electric motor, we want to help.

We focus on providing well-thought-out, DIY-friendly kits, components, and solutions designed to remove friction from EV projects. Our goal is to simplify the process of building and maintaining electric vehicles so enthusiasts and shops can spend less time struggling with parts and more time enjoying the results.

Looking Ahead

We’re excited about the future of electric mobility and about growing alongside the community that helped build Westside EV.

Our vision includes expanding into a dedicated facility on the west side of Los Angeles: a hands-on EV workshop with lifts, multiple bays, and the space needed to support installations, builds, and community collaboration.

If you know of a space that could help bring this vision to life, we’d love to hear from you.

Together, we can help shape the next generation of electric vehicles and keep the spirit of innovation and custom car culture alive in the electric era.
