  • We’ll procure a low-mileage Tesla drive unit in excellent condition and perform a light rebuild to inspect and replace any bearings or internal components showing wear. We then unlock it with a new Openinverter logic board using the latest firmware and parameters. For reverse-mounted drive units, we’ll modify the oil pump accordingly to ensure proper cooling is maintained. LSD options are available for applications requiring maximum traction. Many other customizations are available, including other controllers, subframe assemblies, half-shafts, and various related componentry.

  • We jailbreak 2012-2020 Tesla Model S/X Small and Large drive units. Bring us your entire drive unit (or just the inverter), and we’ll swap out the OEM logic board with a new Openinverter logic board and bench-test it with the latest firmware and parameters to ensure smooth operation. Available via local drop-off or through the mail.

  • When mounting a Tesla drive unit 180 degrees backward, you’ll need to run the unit in reverse to go forward and forward to go in reverse. This works well, but the internal mechanical oil pump must be modified to function properly. Failure to modify the oil pump will result in premature overheating and damage to the drive unit. We can perform this modification on Model S/X Front and Rear Small as well as Large drive units. Either bring/ship us the the oil pump assembly or the entire drive unit and we’ll handle it for you.

  • We install Quaife ATB LSD and OEM differentials in Tesla small and large drive units. As part of this service, we will inspect and replace the bearings if necessary. If your drive unit is jailbroken with Openinverter, we’ll test it on our stand to ensure everything is functioning properly.

  • We can provide custom CV axles for adapting Tesla small or large drive units with virtually any other wheel hub type. If you are local, we can come to you and handle the entire process. Otherwise, we can help guide you through making and sending us mock-ups to ensure proper length. We’ll then take it from there and provide you with fully assembled CV axles, so all you have to do is install them.

  • We can develop custom microcontroller-based solutions using Arduino, STM32, ESP32, and other microcontrollers. We’ll work with you to define requirements and then design and develop custom PCBs and/or write software to achieve almost any result, from custom dashboard integrations to lighting and much more.

Tesla Drive Unit Jailbreaking

We jailbreak Tesla Model S/X small or large drive units. We’ll install a new Openinverter logic board and bench-test it with the latest firmware and parameters so you can focus on the other aspects of your build. Available via local drop-off or through the mail.

Tesla Drive Unit Reverse Mod

We offer 3D scanning and printing services. We can 3D scan an object, part, or vehicle chassis in high definition so you have a model to work with. If you already have a model, we can 3D print it for you. Prototype parts can help save you money and ensure you have a design right before committing to higher priced fabrication.
