Openinverter Logic Board

The Openinverter SDU logic board allows you to control any non-Raven 2012-2020 Tesla Model S/X Front or Rear Small Drive Unit (SDU) for use in EV conversions and custom electric vehicles. It will NOT work in a Tesla vehicle!

All connectors and components are fully soldered, including the current sensors! The board has been flashed with the latest firmware and parameters. Once installed, you can access the inverter parameters via an easy-to-use web interface to tune the motor for your application. SDU boards supplied by Westside EV have been modified for better fitment and ease of installation.

Openinverter boards include an onboard ~5kW charging feature, so you don't need to buy and integrate a separate onboard charger if fast charging is not required. However, this advanced feature should only be implemented by trained professionals as it requires working with high voltage.

✨ Pre-soldered Current Sensors! ✨

Our boards now feature pre-soldered current sensors, eliminating the need to remove & reuse the old current sensors or solder new sensors onto the new board yourself. Simply pop out the old board (along with its old sensors), remove some of the potting compound from the sensor rings where the old sensors were embedded, and drop the new board in. The pre-soldered current sensors on the new board are secured in place with little plastic supports to ensure correct positioning and prevent bending, making installation as easy as ever!

Simplify your Openinverter setup with our 1-meter (3.3ft) fully labeled MX150 wiring harness pigtail. Crafted from high-quality 18 AWG pure copper wire with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation. Color-coded and clearly labeled to match the Openinverter logic board pinout.

Brand New TE EV200AAANA high-voltage contactors. These contactors feature an economizer and can handle 500A and up to 900VDC.
