Logic Board
The Openinverter SDU logic board allows you to control any non-Raven 2012-2020 Tesla Model S/X Front or Rear Small Drive Unit (SDU) for use in EV conversions and custom electric vehicles. It will NOT work in a Tesla vehicle!
All components and connectors are included and fully soldered. The board has been flashed with the latest firmware and parameters and has been tested. Once installed, you can access the inverter parameters via an easy-to-use web interface to tune the motor for your application. SDU boards supplied by Westside EV have been slightly modified so that the plastic MX150 connector fits better on the board and avoids breaking off the little leg protruding from the bottom of the connector.
Openinverter boards include an onboard ~5kW charging feature, so you don't need to buy and integrate a separate onboard charger if fast charging is not required. However, this advanced feature should only be implemented by trained professionals as it requires working with high voltage.

✨ Presoldered Current Sensors! ✨
Two new presoldered current sensors are included, so there’s no need to remove or reuse the existing ones. Simply remove the old board with its sensors, clean out the potting compound from the sensor rings where the old sensors were embedded, then install the new board with the new sensors and secure it. The sensors are held in place with plastic supports to prevent bending.
Wiring Harness
Simplify your Openinverter setup with our optional, fully labeled MX150 wiring harness pigtail. Crafted from high-quality 18 AWG silicone wire, this harness is color-coded and clearly labeled to match the Openinverter logic board pinout. A full-color pinout card is included for easy reference.
Our standard 1-meter harnesses are in stock and ready to ship, while longer lengths are made to order and may require additional processing time.
Contactors
Used/refurbished Kilovac EV200AAANA high voltage contactors. These contactors feature an economizer and can handle 500 amps and up to 900vdc. Contactors show signs of use and/or refurbishment but have been tested and confirmed to be in good working condition. These units are very expensive new, so you are saving a LOT with these refurbished ones.
