They are especially useful for 2021–2023 HW3 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, where Tesla removed the data functionality from the front USB hub. By swapping in one of these earlier hubs, you can restore USB data capability. A Mini-USB cable is required to connect the hub to the infotainment system to enable data functionality.
